@thisismissem oh, yikes. That sounds similar to MCAS which is so fucking hard to pin down, and I wonder if it’s much more common than thought but just at “sub-clinical” levels that get women dismissed as “tired” or “anxious”. And ANY hormone being out of whack won’t help. Hope you can get some rest and relief.

I think I need to cancel my trip to #fosdem, my body just isn't behaving this week & my cough has been inducing anxiety attacks and near vomiting. -
I think I need to cancel my trip to #fosdem, my body just isn't behaving this week & my cough has been inducing anxiety attacks and near vomiting.@thisismissem you’re stable on HRT, right? Sorry if I’m overstepping as you’re not asking, but damn, when perimeno + insulin dependence piled on top of not-yet-figured-out ADHD and a whole effin’ pandemic it was a trip. I am SO SENSITIVE still to insulin bouncing around, that I will both freak out and relapse into “asthma” before my forebrain clocks that there’s a blood sugar and/or monthly mishap in play. Stupid brain/body soup.
It’s rare but sometimes a vial of insulin is “off”.

I find when insulin + other hormones + neurotransmitters pile up in certain ways … call it all off and hibernate seems completely reasonable!
My timeline just lined up interestingly on this post, too, heh.
Hope this settles for you, sounds like it sucks and sitting through it must be a drag.

OMG.OMG.
I'm working on a SQL course. Not a terribly academic one, just an "intermediate SQL for professional interest" sort of thing.I've understood conceptually what triggers are for decades. But I've never been a coder, never written one.
I just worked through an exercise in creating an audit table & trigger to populate it, for a database. It's less than 30 lines of entirely readable code.
There are at least 10 "database developers" in my past I want to dig up out of their graves and punch.

I'm old enough to remember when the "Gulf of America" was called "Freedom Fries."@mick why you pickin' on me and my gray hair.
hahaha. same, same. It would be just pathetic if the US weren't so able to punch above it's moral weight in all this.

Don't give up.@dansup congrats!
And I sincerely hope you’ve got some sysops and community management help for your instance! This is amazing to be watching (and aiding and abetting, I’m showing pixelfed and a few apps off to friends all over the place)

I’m shuffling my few years now of Pixelfed presence over to the brand new pxlfd.ca.I’m shuffling my few years now of Pixelfed presence over to the brand new pxlfd.ca.
I am a huge PF fan and will continue to support @dansup materially, but PF is taking off like a (not explodey) rocket and @pixelfed.social is going to become like mastodon.social, huge and crowded. I joined then moved off of Mastodon.social in 2017, though I continue to chip in to the Mastodon project. Same deal. I like a cozier local timeline, while being a total fan of the project.

IFTAS is a worthwhile effort.IFTAS is a worthwhile effort. It is an independent, non-profit agency focused on Trust&Safety tools and initiatives for the distributed, federated social media realms (ActivityPub and AT Proto for now).
