I tried pagination before, but I was somehow expecting it to work like /{pagenumber}.

Just for the record: Meanwhile I also understood, that what I was looking for is also achievable via /api/search and corresponding filters.

My goal is to use the Read API to calculate the postcount of a user for a certain period of time.

For this my approach would be to query all postings of a user and then filter out on the code side those postings that lie in a given period.
According to the Read API documentation I have queried the user posts via:

GET /api/user/{userslug}/posts

However, it seems that this API call only returns a maximum of 20 posts.

But how can I retrieve all posts of a user?

I also tried this API call:

GET /api/user/uid/{userslug}/export/posts

but it doesn't seem to work at all (maybe it is outdated?). If I change the user slug accordingly, I get no result page, but 404.

We have updated Slick Theme to latest version ( 1.4.3 ) and the issue is gone...
... but just because the whole functionality of Mark as read is completely gone

When inside of /unread page now, only the topic filter drop-down gets presented

Both are latest.

nodeBB: v1.16.2.
nodebb-theme-slick: 1.3.8

(With all plugins deactivated + custom css/js disabled)

• go to /unread page
• (assuming there are some unread topics listed) click "Mark as read"
• click "All"

Result: Page reloads, without any change. URL in browser address bar changes to something like

There is no difference if I mark some topics individually and click "Mark as read" and then "Selected".

It works as expected if I change to Persona theme, so I assume there is a bug in Slick Theme.

Can anyone confirm this misbehavior on their forum?

Me (as admin) would like to see who downloaded files that were uploaded in forum posts.

(if there is no on-board solution, this might more a dev/plugin request)
It would be best if this information would be presented directly under a download link in the form of an expandable list with user names. But it would also be sufficient for me if I could get this information via the read API.

Any idea how to do this?

Via a (python) script I would like to retrieve data from pages that are only accessible when logged in. Like for example https://community.nodebb.org/unread

In order to get access, the script needs to authenticate, but I have no idea how to do that. This was my attempt:

In some places here in the forum I read that you should do it with the write api plugin. However, this is deprecated, the new approach lacks clear documentation (at least for me) and besides, I don't understand how it should work if you can't install a plugin and generate tokens (as in the case of community.nodebb.org).

It would be very helpful if someone could provide a very simple code snippet that outlines how it should work.

When clicking on next/prev button of the slider, the page will reload (indicated by the progress bar at the top) and you end up at the initial slide.

Below a forum/category I would like to display all groups and individual users that are privileged to see this forum/category. In best case this would be a widget, so it would then be easy for example to reveal this information based on privileges to moderators only.

In communities with a lot of forums/categories, groups, and different privileges, this would especially help Admins, Mods or other community managing groups to keep an overview of who has access to which content.

Does anyone happen to have a solution for this?

@gotwf you're right. After posting I realized the carousel at the top of the nodebb.org forum almost does what I want, just the images are missing and it has to be limited to a specific forum as input.

I would like to have a widget that can be placed at the top of the forum homepage which is an image carousel based on images uploaded by users.

Option #1: Ideally the image source would be for e.g the first image posted in the last 10 topics of a specific forum (like for example a Gallery "show your artworks" kind of forum). The images of the carousel would then link to the source topic.

Option #2: Alternatively users could somehow upload directly to that image carousel.

How can that be achieved? Someone maybe has a code snippet to do that?
