Thanks @julian , yes ended up forcing Gravatar as a stopgap just so something appears rather than broken image links. We are just using Lavender that has a few CSS modifications to it but nothing that should affect core functionality.

They were working fine before the latest update is all. Would you like me to deactivate Gravatar temporarily so that you can have a look?

Our default avatars have all broken since we upgraded to the latest version; installing the Gravatar plugin and enabling it with one of the default "packages" does not work either unless we choose the "force usage of Gravatar" option, which then overrides all the other avatars.

Going in through the Manage -> Users section and manually uploading a default image does not work either as it still returns a broken image link; and the "Letter user icon avatars" that were supposed to show up in the new version are not working as default for us.

Hi guys, sorry to bump such an old thread but couldn't find anything more relevant.

Has there been any change in the way NodeBB generates sitemaps since back when this was originally posted? We are not seeing a full list of URLs in our sitemap either (using Lavender theme if it makes any difference) and a lot of should-be-popular threads aren't being indexed as a result.

We are currently looking for a way to customise the Lavender theme to make the user's Avatar/profile section in Topic View more "gamified" by showing statistics as well as the "Experience Bar" from the ns-points plugin.

Currently, the theme looks like this when a user posts in a thread:

to help show progression, be more visual, etc. Is it possible to customise this through one of the .tpl files or would it require a root change to how the plugin works? Our sys admin says he thought it would require a change to the actual plugin; I thought it might be a matter of just relocating some of the CSS classes to the "profile.tpl" section of the user profile.

Hi all, there are a lot of seemingly great plugins out there at least conceptually, the only problem is that looking at the documentation for most of then on their Github or wherever else they are stored there are seldom screenshots included of them in action.

Just wanted to ask if it was possible to make the inclusion of screenshots / visuals of a plugin at work somewhat mandatory? As it's possible for some of the plugins to appear in the back-end of the admin panel but then have no visual representation of what they're supposed to look like once live.

Just wanted to chime in and give a big thank you to the developers who have worked on NodeBB to bring forum communities up to date with the modern world... the responsiveness, speed and integrated features out of the box are wonderful and it really feels clean and modern compared to all the antiquated old PHP based software.

Just letting you all know we will be using NodeBB as the base for our "Community" section launching at ExperienceOz; we are a fairly large tour/activities aggregator in Australia / New Zealand and I've been pushing management to integrate a forum as we have staff answering a million of the same questions over the phones again and again and they're conducive to being online content to refer customers to.

We've only just started populating and styling the forum, and I know that people are always looking on here for live examples of "who is using NodeBB" etc. Ours is at https://community.experienceoz.com.au for those who want to check it out; we are still playing around with plugins and may have our in-house developers come up with some custom plugins we can share with the community in future.

We are aiming to launch it to our customer base in a month or so once things are customised and styled properly; luckily we have a large subscriber database and Facebook community to pull in from the get-go so hopefully won't have to go through too many of the growing pains associated with a fresh forum.

I'd like more gamification integrated to make it more than "just a forum" where we can incentivise customers to return, refer friends, reward top contributors etc. but that will come in time.

Anyway, just wanted to say that the hard work of all those who have contributed to NodeBB is greatly appreciated - keep up the good work
