I'm as old as the Civil Rights Act, and my life has been living through the violent reaction of white christian men and their camp followers to the end of Jim Crow, and the establishment of economic rights for women, abortion rights, immigrant rights, and queer rights. tl;dr - the past 60 years of US history has been white christian men destroying everything because they aren't the center of the world.
