Can anyone who is in the know with computer components tell me if a Ryzen R5 3600 and RTX 2080Ti are still good enough? :btr_ryo_lurk: I haven’t kept up with anything in 5 years. -

Might want to upgrade the CPU to a Ryzen 5000 series

PS5 controllers are downright terrible.@fujiwara Makes you wonder, if they cost so much, why they don't put in Hall effect sticks that don't drift? :bunhdthink:

A colleague who's trying to get me into the place he works in just told me that his boss isn't sure about hiring me because I don't have enough experience.@fujiwara @dopey_kun How you are supposed to get the experience if it's an entry level position, It just makes no sense.
No way an entry level is 10 years or even 1-5 years. It's as if companies want college students to take internships and work for free so they can save money on their bottom line and they don't want to train people, even though they need training as each company does the job differently. If you don't have that experience, good luck finding a job, it will take years to land a job and hundreds of applications. :neocat_facepalm:
I have been there with only one year of experience, not fun at all.

I have never spent a cent on a gacha game...@fujiwara I spent money on Magia Record EN… regretted it as the game closed after a year :meowcrying:
Never spending any money in a Gacha ever again.

I made a bet with my friend that Concord game would shutdown within a year. I didn’t think it would be 14 days after release :ChikaREEEE: -

Kroger admits that they raised prices in order to make more money.Kroger admits that they raised prices in order to make more money.
Evidence that Greedflation is driving up inflation. The only answer is to break Kroger up.

(I can only read the machine translation: The key I am pulling is that 'mastodon' is always being assumed to be the right AP implementation, even when its not.@NullNowhere Of course, it’s not made any better with Mastodon Social pretty much having a huge chunk of the Fediverse, which of course causes them to have an outsized influence in how things run. People should really move away from Mastodon Social to a medium or small size server that is more aligned to their interest or even their own server, instead of making the problem worse.
Mastodon, Vanilla that is missing a lot of features that are in Misskey and other software or even Glitch-Soc (and various forks of it), some that are often requested like quote posts and reactions. They exist in one way or another on Glitch, but somehow, the lead don’t want to implement them. This also includes safety and more moderation tools, which the Mastodon team keep kicking the can down.
Something really needs to be done, it’s like Mastodon has a monopoly over the Fediverse, all contributing to Mastodon Social being a large chunk of the fediverse and market share.
