I said "a size limit" not "database size limit". Why is your html file so large? Can you try cutting it down to different sizes to find out what the limit is?

I have the same problem. But "new topic" is working after reloading the page. Same thing with the correct theme display of forum topics.

I'm on v0.6.1 and that working fine on mine, looks like a local issue.
