Meanwhile, speaking of policy, of which Trump has none, J.D. Vance DOES have policies in mind, and they're not good, especially for women. As Jill Filipovic reports, a recently unearthed audio of him shows his policy for women unambiguously, as he agrees that,
"’The whole purpose of the postmenopausal female’ is to raise children."
Imagine having your WHOLE life summed up that way — by someone else. By J.D. Vance.

Imagine having your complex, multifaceted humanity summed up in a biological imperative in that way, one created for you by a man. Imagine having your complex, multifaceted life dismissed out of hand if you refuse to adhere to the imperative issued for you by a man.
Vote Republican and this is exactly what you'll get, if you're female.

"Abortion is not just a so-called 'women’s issue.' Until two years ago, the right to abortion was embedded in the language of the 14th Amendment which guarantees equal protection of the laws for all. It was part of the central argument that established a right to privacy in Griswold v. Connecticut in 1965, which involved the right of couples to use birth control."

"The fight over abortion rights, often framed as the right of a woman to control her own body, also involves the right to privacy for all of us. Right wing lawsuit-factories such as the Alliance Defending Freedom have already stated their intention to sue to overturn Griswold, as well as other Supreme Court decisions based on the 14th Amendment involving same sex marriage and the right to love whoever you want in any way you want in the privacy of your bedroom."

"JD Vance is coming into focus as a living breathing embodiment of the caricature of the Republican man as obsessed with controlling women’s bodies and eager to reduce the complexities of human relations to late-night-dorm-room-debate levels of sophistication. Heavy on bombast, light on normal. The more sweeping and reductive the assertions, the better!"

@wdlindsy The purpose of Republicans needs to be defined, I know what it is, but defining it for everyone would be prudent.

@wdlindsy Being extremely charitable, this is a pretty common hypothesis **IN THE CONTEXT OF EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY**, but if you're failing to make the distinction between "biological purpose" and a person's purpose more broadly… then yeah, WTF. There's honestly some things he says here about choosing family over the optimal economic outcome that would be great if it weren't for the undercurrent of misogyny. Weird dude!

@wdlindsy If you look at his pictures from highschool, it's easy to guess he had very little luck with women in his formative years. It could explain why he seems to be seeking revenge now.

"Vance is very much in cahoots with young conservative men — many of whom are consumed by a deep panic over 'hypergamy,' their belief women always date up and that 10 percent of the men get 90 percent of the women, while the rest of them are left alone. They usually blame the sexual revolution and feminism for this, as it meant that women no longer had to depend on them for survival…."

@wdlindsy jordan peterson makes a buck out of telling them if they perform a set of tasks, make their beds, clean their room, avoid video games, cut their hair, get respectable jobs and strict clothes, women will come to them in a field of dreams. It’s kind of shocking he’s still in business

I highly recommend following @wdlindsy if you like solid articles outside the MSM. He posts daily, eg today:

This is so, incredibly laughable. I once read "The Game" by Neil Strauss, and while there are some reasonably insightful observations about social dynamics sprinkled in, the conclusions that men draw from them are incredibly, horrifically bad. Which I actually think the book does a decent job of pointing out. These guys sound like they're the type that draw all the wrong conclusions from whatever source they're looking at and then wonder why their chemicals exploded in their faces.
