LaTeX plugin request

    Hi,
    it would be great if we could display maths with LaTeX syntax with the help of a plugin. I think mathjax would be the right tool to use.
    I tried some little hacks with like just embedding Mathjax.js in the header, but it slows down page loading pretty much: this is especially annoying on mobiles. Moreover, the math-formulas are most of the time not evaluated and one needs to reload the page to see them.

    So maybe one could load the script only if a post in the page contains LaTeX text, or disable it on mobiles... I tried to use the filter:scripts.get hook in a plugin, but I'm not fluent in javascript so I didn't manage to get it working.

    Anyone else interested in this feature or in the plugin development?

    Hi, I just published a plugin that parse tex code using katex, his name is nodebb-plugin-katex if you want to give it a try. Feedbacks are welcome.

    this custom CSS (what baris mentioned above) is related to the Feed plugin as well...

    .posts-list .posts-list-item .content { overflow: auto; max-height: 480px; }

    with this change, people can go through all the posts by scrolling on the same page... feel free to change the post height...

    @julian not directly after enabling. I have now tried ./nodebb build. Still returns script error in Google Chrome 😕

    I think I installed the plugin correctly.

    Another way is to put the following into your custom header:

    then you can use MathJax.

    Not a direct answer but take a look at @julian's "down voter" plugin,

    You may be able to modify the algorithm to look for something specific to a "resolved" post or you could copy out the opacity bits and add it to the Custom CSS setting area.

    not have idea for this yet. can someone help to look at this?

    @psychobunny There's just something with pressing the flagging button for some reason on bots, it feels... Rewarding.
