subcategory not working on 0.5.3

I installed 0.5.3 release, and created sub categories like A-->B-->C, when i navigate to catgegory A, Ｉdidn't see category B. (I am using the default theme vanilla)

this seems worked before, but not working with the new version 0.5.3. is it a bug or by design to not support this kind of sub-category hierarchy in 0.5.3 and vanilla theme ? thanks.

never mind -- after i clear the browser cache, the issue is gone and the sub category works.....thanks.
