Notification Bug

Even while reading the notifications, the notification bar says I have 20+ unread notifications.

Looking at your scrollbar you do have unread posts.

Yup, I do not have unread posts, but notification says I have 20+. I noticed this in multiple browsers and my tablet and iphone as well. So i decided to post this issue in the bugs category.

No, I'm saying you have unread posts. All those posts you see there are unread. What happens when you visit them or mark them as read?

So you are saying the unread notification goes away "only after" I have read all the posts, even if they are 30 or 40 in number? Because that is not possible in any forum, especially active forums with more than 30-40 posts per hour! @xbenjii

Yeah, pretty much. You can just mark them as read though if you don't want to sift through them.

Hmm thanks, the problem is making the users understand all these things. Most people are nowadays used to silly Facebook groups, which are over simplified, unlike the case, like about 5-6 years ago, when PHP forums where on the rise and everyone had atleast a general idea how to use forums. You know am talking about new users under 19 years of age and all.

The unread page works well if the # of new posts per visit is fewer than 10. After that it gets a bit hard to keep up

Some newer changes may make the list a little more manageable.
