Testing blog comment v0.1.19 by @psychobunny for nodebb 0.5.2 and it seems to be broken. Changing the settings and clicking on save does nothing. As a test, I switched over to markdown settings and clicked save, it shows a popup message.
@peter Try filing an issue here, it may not be compatible with latest version of NodeBB. You could try running ./nodebb dev and saving it then, see if anything pops into the console, or anything at all.
Yer I think your right here, I've done a hack for now but knowing quite well that will get over written on the next upgrade.
And even tho this would normally be a minor concern for normal links, links to a another app on the site really need to be in a seperate tab.
So I've had to hack that as well, so I need to get my head around writting some plug-ins and how they all work, I want to fork this one [nodebb-plugin-outside] and see what I can do with it as I think this would serve my purpose but I don't think it's working at the moment.
Do you know if anyone has had any luck with getting any of the debuggers working?
I learn faster by seeing what's going on under the hood.
Thanks a lot for your help guys and sorry for the false alarm, maybe the plugin in Github should have this warning. I know that is a dumb mistake and most of web developers may be aware of it but just in case.
That's a very good write up Steve, you should be in marketing if your not already 😮
LOL I have been for 15+ years now. Mostly corporate/tech companies helping roll out products/services/promotions. Always liked getting involved with the design so I learned photoshop, illustrator, indesign, etc. along the way. Now i'm working out of my house freelancing.
oh cool haha. meanwhile all three of us are out-and-out programmers with no idea on how to market anything 😛
Been down that road before. Just like programming, marketing is a process. When you guys get to that point of wanting help the 4 of us can all jump on a call and see where it goes.
