    How to Create Custom Category Headers

    For a quick & dirty solution, I would create HTML widget and insert into Global header.

    In Appearance -> Custom Javascript, I would add the magic here.
    You can upload the images into Public folder and then create an array in the javascript.

    You can grab the title via the <meta name="title" content="Cat title"> tag and match it up with the images array. This is very manual so every time you change the category name you'll have to change in the javascript code as well. I take it though category name won't change that much when Live.

    I have not tried this yet as It's just in theory.

    @pitaj Nooo... but it's ok

    New translation will not be difficult because I have experience translating English and Japanese into Korean.

    However, there are translations that use different words with the same meaning or words that are not currently used well, so it will take some time to fix that part.

    I'll do untranslated part first and fix them later.

    This should get you started. You'll need to edit the composer.tpl, or inject html at composer load, checking if the post is a new topic.

    Category lookup and creation by normal user

    Hi, first of all, I want to say this is such an amazing project. I really enjoy using it! Thank you!

    So my question is pretty much in the title, I want normal registered user to be able to lookup existing categories and if it doesn't exist yet, allow him to create it.

    I want the lookup experience just like the current tags lookup page here: https://community.nodebb.org/tags Filter possible results as user continue entering letters.

    I think the creation of an category is can be easily accomplished with the write API, but is there already tools built for this lookup process? As a starting point I looked at the /api/categories/ and it's giving me too much info, I just want category name ...
