I am still a student and learned PHP and am learning Laravel. Is it worth it to start focusing on full stack JavaScript? I want to become a back ender. Or full stack developer if i choose JS.

    I am still a student and learned PHP and am learning Laravel. Is it worth it to start focusing on full stack JavaScript? I want to become a back ender. Or full stack developer if i choose JS.

    What career path would be better as a back ender (full stack on my own ideas)? Node.js sounds great, i heard about the MEAN stack etc., but i don't know if it will be a stronger choice then PHP/Laravel.

    In my area there are like 231 jobs for Node.js and 135 for Laravel. But i would want to make a good choice.

    I also still have like 4 more years to study before i will need to start searching for work. I have 3 years of studying on my belt now.

    Can some experts give me some guidance. Thanks in advance.

    @macfan that's understandable, I know not everybody is comfortable signing their contributions away, so they are welcome to fork NodeBB for their own purposes.

    Contributions back upstream are welcome and encouraged but not required 🙂

    I dunno if this is the correct place to ask, but I'd like to hire someone to make a custom theme. It's nothing radical, and the design mockups are all done. Just need someone to turn it into LESS and do the templating really (not looking for just a CSS skin).

    Looking for someone that have skills in nodejs or want to learn and need a projekt. Fun to share a hobby projekt with someone. The goal is developing a nodebb plugin for item lists. I can explain more later 🙂 It is preferred if you can speak Swedish but not necessary.

    The project is opensource and should give back to the community. (Hobby project) Write it in a way that it could be used for multiple things Food lists
    -- Movies lists
    -- Games list
    -- etc..
