Can't remove, move or create categories

    Hi, I installed with success NodeBB on my VPS.

    Here is the details :

    • NodeJS v6.9.4
    • NodeBB v1.4.2

    But i can't remove, create or move any categorie. When i click on the "+" icon, nothing happen...

    And by the way, i installed the plugin nodebb-plugin-poll but i have nothing more on my composer.

    Fixed earlier today on 0.8 (which we just launched BTW!), also it should be okay on 0.7.3 stable so either upgrade core or downgrade persona?

    @Baerrus Yes, just remove the find privilege but still keep the read privilege, then the category won't be listed on the homepage but will still be accessible.

    When you update Nodebb to latest code,guest and normal user can't see the website.

    @song19891121 The permissions were refactored so that by default, if a category has no permissions checked (in the Access Control modal), nobody can access it.

    This is a departure from the previous behaviour, which was:

    Registered users can access and post Guests can access but cannot post

    Which was confusing for some.

    Long story shot

    The upgrade script should transparently convert your existing permissions properly, but clearly there are some bugs. When you upgrade, go through all of your categories and ensure the permissions are set correctly.

    @julian thanks for the hint- yes i resize it show up. but i still notice some issue - after i click one category from the category picker window, the chose category didn't show in the parent category field. after i refresh the page, it then show up. but not a big issue.

    i have a suggestion --- instead of using a popup menu window for a list of all categories, maybe just use a auto-complete text box to allow user to type in the category name.... this will be much simple when we have many categories (i.e more than 30....).
