Category tags

Hey,

Was wondering how easy would this be to do via a plugin?

I have the popular tags widget displayed in the category(s), now this displays all tags for the forum which can be found by clicking the menu bar.

I would like to limit (filter) the tags to that category and it's children, this would allow people to see what's relevant and give the tag system a bit more meaning.

If only we could pass the current category here, it shouldn't be to hard I think.
