Premium paid membership option and group access permissions

2 plug-ins that would be highly useful, and even work together somewhat would be a paid membership widget option where they click and pay(maybe throught paypal) and it adds them to a group with special permissions sich as extended messages in pm box, special colored post and reply box, tag that says they are premium member and possibly other benifts.
A way to edit group privileges and special benifits would work for this to as well as for things like adding new moderators. In a forum with 100 or more catagories, making general moderators would be painful.
Are any if these in the works for the near future?

We've had more than one party interested in this sort of plugin, although nobody has ever offered to fund the development for it. That said, it's something on the back of our minds that we see as an important addition to the NodeBB platform. One of those things that we'll hopefully get the time to build eventually

You mean like a group that has a special tag or colored banner for members that have donated?
