Hi, I am new to nodebb. Is there a way to add your own icons to the catagory icons? Also is there a way to change the icon once you have created the catagory? Thanks.

No, not without changes to core.

Yes, click the icon in the admin ACP and change it to whatever you want.

Thank you. I don't know why I didn't think to just click it. Thought It would be more complicated. Thanks. I know that I can also add an image. I can use .png files extentions which will have transparent background which would work. Can I specify a fixed size for the image? It seems to either stretch it to the size or tile it.

@RazorAxis .png files will display the colour of the background that you have used. Set the background image to Cover for best results. But you'll need to play with the image size to get it right. I use 400x400 which seems to work fine.

One of the items on my to do list is to allow the addition of Font Custom to the Font Awesome features - but it is a bit down the list as it would PROBABLY require yanking the Font Awesome features out and into a plugin.

Ok I made the logo 400x400 png file and loaded it in cover. This is how it looks in Desktop


And this is how it looks in mobile:

Any suggestions on making it fit like an icon? Is it possible? Thanks.

I guess it wont load the desktop, to big. But it basiclly stretches it out horizontally and just cuts it off vertically.
