@akdb It is possible to create your project without issue tracker and/or ability to submit pull requests to change the codebase. SQLite is an example of that. Because direct participation is impossible, people follow the procedures outlined by the dev team to try to influence project direction. That is done a much more manageable way now, whereby the expectations have been set appropriately.Not doing so and ignoring input will backfire and lead to vicious spiral of nastiness coming your way.

@lolonurse I'll do so. We have ties binding us over years. My aunt taught Pat, the wife, in college, and my uncle was academic v-p when she was in college. I hired Pat to teach psychology and chair our school's social studies department not knowing any of those ties, then found them out, and we've been close friends ever since — as with her husband Wendell, who officiated at my marriage to Steve in 2014. I'm not a churchgoer, but give a monthly donation to their church out of gratitude.

@deivudesu If I went through the list of people I read on a daily basis and ruled out those with whom I have either substantive or less substantive criticisms and created a purity list of only those worth excerpting, I'd end up with a very short list, indeed. Behaving and thinking that way has led the progressive wing of the Democratic party into a dead end and plays right into the hands of the right.
