Bluesky developed by Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, and because Bluesky uses a proprietary protocol called the Authenticated Data eXchange (ADX) protocol, which is not compatible with the open protocol ActivityPub used by Fediverse platforms. And Bluesky's architecture is centralized, storing user data on a central server, whereas the Fediverse is decentralized, storing user data on individual instances.
