as NodeBB user number escalates, how is its responsiveness kept? I mean, in a big forum usage with let's say, about 200 concurrent users using it heavily (imagine, uploading pics, writing posts, searching content, etc), how does the performance suffers?

Node.js apps may have that problem once they cannot use several threads.

Do you recommend using a proxy like nginx or use Node.js as proxy for a "one forum-one site-one machine" setup?

@julian awesome info! I am looking forward these improvements! i'm sure nodeBB will be a major player within a few years.

@Baerrus there are no perfect examples, but while quite different, IPBoard 4.0 (beta) groups the posts "per pages" and allows easier navigation, clicking on the page number or arrows. While not perfect, this improves mobile navigation for long topics to some extent.

In what concerns to nodeBB the perfect solution in my opinion would be to put the "x out of y" post navigator right below the top "nodeBB" horizontal bar. It will take just a little bit of screen space while greatly improving navigation. No need to code new things, just some CSS tweaking.

Or a simple draggable scroll bar. Or at least an icon to go to the last post.

Hi Folks, i am trying the mobile use and i find that posting is really great, but navigation in long topics needs to be improved.

Navigating in long topics with many posts is tough: i need to keep scrolling/dragging with my finger for ages. I think a vertical post scrooll bar page navigator or post grouping navigator should be quite useful, something like what exists in the "normal" version.

i also don't think tapatalk is needed anymore. I use it with ipboard and i just want to get rid of it.

Is this plugin compatible with 0.6?

as a user of IPBoard and also an Informatics Engineer, i just can say i love NodeBB and i intend to use it for next projects. I love how fresh it feels, lightweight, easy to use. It's a fine piece of software, i think its much better than its nearest competitor (discourse) and i think you should make more buzz about it in social networks, i find that very few people know about NodeBB.
