The bird feeders in high demand.. Such tiny little souls, yet they are so cheering.
Note all the anti-pine marten and anti-rockdove cages.
It's quite comical to see younger birdies face the cage, with a clear look of "I can't get in, I can't get in". Hunger then prompts them to step through the bars and it's "Oh, I can. Who'd have thought"

Look, it's Monday morning, so, even if you've been on Mastodon for ages, you need to brush up on your terminology.

I sometimes wonder if many of Assynt's place names were named at this time of the year. Here is Meall Dearg, the red mound, earning her name with the help of the rising sun.
There are other place names that only seem to make sense in the autumn, especially regarding colours

Fellow terriers unable to leave a bone alone of the Fediverse, can you help?
I've recently ported my phone number to a new provider. All is sweet, except that the SIM details under Settings (this is Android) show the original pre-port phone number.
I can't see how to change this. I've found an ancient motorola that can do it, but it doesn't "stick". I know it's trivial, but if there's a way of sorting this, I'd love to hear it.
Nothing I've found on the net works or is relevant.

Yesterday morning I had to nip in to the village. As I closed the house door and walked to the car, I heard a noise on my left, as these two deer moved away, but stopped relatively closely, not over-fussed about my presence.

Some kind soul got up in the middle of the night and turned the fans off.

An interesting T&C from a mobile phone company. Maybe it's best just not to use a phone. I think I can see what they mean, but it seems a little open-ended.

Cast your minds back to those heady days when the arrival of a new set of solar panels was imminent. They were in Inverness, supposedly with a Fedex "delivery partner."
I ran a poll to see how confident you lot were we'd get them soon. Some said that week.Most said 3.5 weeks. A few said "Never"
At the moment, that last handful of miserable gits - sorry - realists - is looking to be pretty smug.
Still no sign of the panels. Fedex wanted until last Wednesday to track them down.

Coffee time in hotel room, but looking at the graphs as last night's storm whizzed through Assynt. The wind stayed in the east until the eye of the low pressure system whizzed through, by the looks of things.
The wind charger is still generating, which is A Good Thing, thought it's due to be breezy all day as we drive home
