By the evening I felt recovered from whatever floored me,so for some reason I decided to install Firefly III and start learning how to do my personal finances correctly. In fact, I’m open to hearing about *personal* experiences with using self-hosted financial tracking software. Are there any you would recommend? #finance #OpenSource #selfhosting

By the evening I felt recovered from whatever floored me,so for some reason I decided to install Firefly III and start learning how to do my personal finances correctly.Of course the data from Deutsche Bank is the worst of the lot. It doesn’t provide “real” CSV data for more than 120 days. Beyond that it’s a filthy mishmash of items that can only be obtained from their “financial planning” app.

I have discovered that a decade of not keeping tabs on your personal finances makes things somewhat fucky.
