The hosting you're using for your current installation won't work unfortunately, but all hope is not lost.

You need a host that can natively support Node.js, which means you're going to have to look for some kind of VPS supplier. VPSDime.com do some incredibly cheap yet powerful servers!

If you would prefer a more managed solution, I suggest Digital Ocean. Their walkthrough's are incredibly insightful, and this tutorial explains every little detail.

Don't even try looking for a free supplier - almost every free Node.js host I've ever found hasn't been the standard I needed it to be!

Yes, I've never had an issue with VPSDime. I think I've had downtime twice, for a total of an hour, in something like the last 9 months

Not sure if you've found your solution as of yet, but if you haven't I would almost certainly take a look at the wonderful VPSdime. I'm not endorsed by them in any way, but I can never praise their service enough. Their prices are actually really, really good as well.

Their standard packages offer you 6GB of RAM for every $7 you spend. ($7 for 6GB, $14 for 12GB, etc.)

Full SSH as standard.

Let's say you use the 12GB package, you're looking at $168/year. That's pretty good.

I've used c9 for a week or so now as a test environment, and it has all gone swimmingly! I've been adding my users to the test environment so they can see what's new, etc.!

Now I've hit two 'bumps' in the road - I need to move off c9, but I'm not actually sure how. I've adapted the installation so much that I'm scared it won't be repeatable, and would love to move it straight over. I've looked through the c9 community, and there are options to move, but nothing too specific to NodeBB.

Has anyone actually managed to do this? If so, could they share?
