@liamvhogan I was actually surprised that nothing broke and it's basically completely indistinguishable from Sonoma.

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!It's taken like six months but I finally attached the nameplates to my Intercession squad!
...though I guess now with the release of KT24 it's my "Angels of Death" squad now.

My LifeJournal is now old enough to drink in the USA.@shlee Nice! Mine would have been 22 years in June of this year but I imported all my posts and comments to Wordpress a number of years back and deleted the account.

Preview site: https://@shlee Oh it'd be great to send some GoToSocial's way. They are doing absolutely fantastic work: https://docs.gotosocial.org/en/latest/#sponsorship-funding

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!And with that, the Intercession team is complete! So very happy with how these came out, but let me tell you, I am not doing this much edge highlighting ever again.
I'm going to take proper photos of each individual one with the full DSLR and lighting setup (along with the tons of other miniatures I still need to do that for as well), but fun fact, this was just taken with my iPhone! I put the miniatures on paper, bumped the exposure up so the miniatures were exposed properly, and then blew out the background to pure white in Lightroom on my laptop.

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!My converted Intercession team is now completely done bar the basing and decals! The magnifying headset and the absurdly fine brush I bought were definitely both excellent purchases, there's no way I'd have been able to get the eyes done this well otherwise.
I included the second photo because I just CANNOT get the edge highlighting properly visible when they're sitting on the table like in the first photo.

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!THE EDGE HIGHLIGHTING IS DONE!
::collapses in a heap::
I didn't even do the "proper" pin-sharp do-it-with-the-edge-of-the-brush thing except for the very lightest highlights at the very end, on the tops of their kneepads and along the edges of the armour in front of their faces, but man that took a while. I only managed to do two each night because it was that tedious, no way in hell would I be doing an entire army like this. Very happy with the results, though looking at the photo it's not super-obvious with the lighting there, but trust me, it is in person.

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!Making slow but steady progress on my Intercession ladies. The bit that's REALLY going to slow me down is when I get to doing the edge highlighting on their armour.

Yesssss, got my converted all-women Intercession squad assembled and undercoated!Earlier this week I painted one of my converted Space Marines as a test to make sure the colour scheme worked, and man am I glad I did only one as test because I hate it. Despite deciding to paint them in Blood Angels colours and using the Contrast paint called "Blood Angels Red", there's FAR too much orange in that colour, I don't like how the backpack came out with it being black, and I don't like the base either (I DID do an absolutely bang-up job her face though, particularly the eye).
I did a second one and finished it tonight (the one on the right) using my trusty old Flesh Tearers Red, painting the backpack the same colour, and using the muddy terrain texture, and it looks SO much better. Definitely going to use that for the rest of them.

Extremely stoked at how well these have come out, in particular the one from each squad with the grenades since none of the sculpts actually have them holding grenades (one of the operatives for the Assault Intercessors is specifically a grenadier and I wanted to make it obvious which one that was, and if I don't take her I'd be taking the regular Intercessor with grenade as an added equipment). I even went to the level of detail of chopping off the grip from one of the spare holsters and fitting it properly onto the empty pistol holster that the grenade-lady from the Assault Intercessors has, since she's holding a grenade instead of a pistol. I also chopped off all the helmets and attached them to the belts of every single one of them, to show that they still HAVE their helmets, they're just too cool to wear them.
I'm going to paint them in Blood Angels colours, mostly because the red and black scheme is quite striking and I've never painted Blood Angels before.
