I'm a fan of flat discussions, mostly because almost all attempts to build threaded discussions end up quite bad. My prime example is mailing lists, where after descending down into threads, you're inevitably lost.

That said, we did look into whether this was feasible, and the good news is it is fairly straightforward to do.

We may include it as an option in a future build of NodeBB

@HolyPhoenix Yeah i think i'm starting to agree, I just added twitter and facebook iframes and they load so slow!

@HolyPhoenix discord does have its own iframe widget, and also gives you json start from the servers.

@hek I like that idea, At the moment I am just putting an if statement in the header, and depending which page is show, it shows different images/text.

Ok managed to use git fetch, then had to use git pull origin master. now it finally says im on 1.0.2 buy now my dashboard doesn;t work

@charles ok removed old origin and set new origin. now it shows correctly but now it doesnt work still

I don't know enough about git to know what else to look at?

What do you get if you type git remote -v

@charles I think i might have broken something when i was attempting to backup my forums using git...

When i type git remote -v

i get my own personal git directory. i think i done and gone broken something

can confirm, looked at windows install... NOPE.. rented digital ocean droplet, and followed a tutorial. had it up and running in 10 mins.

managed to fix it by putting the ip address in the facebook url.. not the same one that is in config.json

I have been trying this for a while

my config.json has the same url as the facebook dev page,
I have both client auth and web auth on, and have tried numerous attempts at different variations of everything else. and still says url blocked,

I have added a website with the URL, I have also added it to the App Domains. I don't know what else i can do.

I thought it was clear, but didnt work for me i upgraded, it appeared to work, but still when i go into the dashboard it says 1.0.0

I had no problem, until i changed the theme to that card one and added forum stats to my widget, now i keep getting "cannot get" and cannot get back into the admin area.

EDIT: it seems i got back in and removed forum stats from the widget, now error is gone. are you trying to load them?

@userbr I believe you could make spoiler tags with pure css.. I recall seeing a guide on how to do it for reddit subreddits.
if you search that you should find it

Has this been fixed? I have installed the plugin and still cannot upload gifs? I can't get embeds to work either.
