Knowing this, I'm not going in unprepared to GTA VI.
I've already watched all of Dexter (for my sins), so I'm watching all of Miami Vice and Burn Notice as well.
What's your favourite bit of Miami media?

Elon Musk is an extremely freaky and bad human being but IMO he’s not even top five of the freakiest and worst people in the history of the US aerospace industry. This is a list with Werner von Braun and Jack Parsons on it remember@liamvhogan Aaand that was how I learned who Jack Parsons was. Reading just the wiki page SUMMARY is making my eyebrows climb up to the top of my skull.

@vampiress a random question; I understand you do your own BW processing.@liamvhogan I used to, at my friend's dark room. He disposed of them... I'm not sure how. He had a place he took them to I think?
Unfortunately he moved and had no space for a darkroom in the new space so he no longer does it. (Meaning I no longer do it.)

Old Guys Who Like Film Cameras are my favourite category of people to talk to me randomly in public. They're always polite, friendly, and genuinely excited to see someone (especially who isn't an old guy) using a vintage film camera.Old Guys Who Like Film Cameras are my favourite category of people to talk to me randomly in public. Whenever someone asks what I do and I say that I make video games, if the person knows nothing about games, the question or comment they make right after is often really interesting.Whenever someone asks what I do and I say that I make video games, if the person knows nothing about games, the question or comment they make right after is often really interesting.
Yesterday, I got this one: “Oh wow! So, do you come up with the ideas for the games, or actually make them?”
I'm still pondering how interestingly binary that was.

Liam: the best camera is the one you have on you, you can make good images with almost anything that works, don’t think too hard@liamvhogan Nice. my most stupid is a Lubitel 2 - without the magnifying glass part, so I got it cheap. Also means focusing is more... guess work.
So is framing.

One of the weird things about rural South Australia is that one in three paddocks seems to have a ruined stone cottage in it.@liamvhogan That's kinda funny. I do like a good Queenslander though.

One of the weird things about rural South Australia is that one in three paddocks seems to have a ruined stone cottage in it.@liamvhogan Amazing. I mean, I am unshocked, but... amazing.
I'm just imagining some rich fuckwits who want to develop over their heritage listed thing moving it brick by brick into some town where the property was cheap, then building some ghastly McMansion in its place, before putting the heritage listed property in the outskirts of Mulumbimby on sale for far too much as a tax writeoff.

One of the weird things about rural South Australia is that one in three paddocks seems to have a ruined stone cottage in it.@liamvhogan Can you MOVE a heritage listed house? Like, brick by brick, if you put it back in precisely the same way you found it?
Why no, I didn't get much sleep last night, why do you ask?

Those of you who shoot film: do you leave film rolls in certain cameras and shoot them periodically, or only put a roll in for specific things, shooting the whole roll more or less at once? Those of you who shoot film: do you leave film rolls in certain cameras and shoot them periodically, or only put a roll in for specific things, shooting the whole roll more or less at once?
I do the former these days, except for certain trips where I shoot a whole roll.
Right now: Fomapan 200 B&W in the Leica, getting some urban decay shots every other day as i go for walks, Fuji 200 in the FED-3 as I want to run a roll through it to ensure it works, and my first Portra roll is in my Canon EOS 10QD, I plan to get candid headshots of friends in the coming months.

"Death of a Partisan is a narrative survival game set on the Eastern Front of World War 2."Death of a Partisan is a narrative survival game set on the Eastern Front of World War 2. Join a small group of Soviet partisans as they brave the harsh winter, fight (or evade) enemy forces, and confront moral dilemmas in a land torn apart by war. Inspired by iconic Soviet cinema, this immersive, first-person experience delves into the complexities of survival, resistance, and the human cost of war.”
Okay this one looks kinda wild.
