I have not been here in a while. Does NodeBB now have reply-by-email functionality?
Is there a roadmap to have this feature or was it totally dropped?

Markdown is excellent for bloggers since they type a lot. Redactor is excellent for occasional posting for non-bloggers. I like Markdown but it is not for everyone since there is a learning curve.
I say give the user an option to choose either Markdown or Redactor in the user settings or as a cookie when replying to a post. It will not be for the admin to make the choice. It is for the end user.
I'm very interested in this. The lingo is foreign to me as an end user. I would like to see someone develop an SSO, say, between PencilBlue or even Ghost to NodeBB.
All are authenticating to PencilBlue or Ghost then directed to NodeBB once they go to the forum without having them register to NodeBB.
If this happen, we all will have a very powerful combo that will cater to a lot of users.
I hope NodeBB and PencilBlue are talking to each other. It's a win-win for both and for the users.
I just set-up a test forum up after discovering NodeBB the other day. It was an easy install with SmartOS. What a perfect marriage together with my Ghost and SmartOS setup! This has great potential and I can, finally, say goodbye to bloated LAMP set-ups .
I've been through several forum solutions with Xenforo as the most recent one. I will start to develop sites using NodeBB from now on.
Way to go guys. Now, add simple CMS and email-to-board features and this will start knocking at the door of the millions of Drupal and Joomla users out there for basic functionalities.
My first post here. I came here because of....yes, node.js!
IBM just entered node.js through StrongLoop last month. Node.js is coming to the enterprise whether you like it or not. Those who will not adapt will be left behind.
