Def not telling you to do, but Meta being a member of the SWF offers one of the worst actors a seat at the table, and like... that's exactly how they'll undermine the fedi if they can. They are already doing it, really, by playing the "oh gosh not federating fully yet" game to undermine users.

Working with Meta to counter Meta is an interesting strategy but I don't think its a winning one. Facebook is actively blocking open access; why do we think Threads won't do the same if they become dominant?

But, we are all welcome to diff opinions.
