Honestly it was a harsh slap in the face for me. It took me down for a few days. I've always lived in Dem states (or at least districts) and didn't see the whole picture I guess.

The fact that all the swing states went Trumps way and he got so much of the popular vote indicates that Dems jumped ship too. That was the harsher reality for me.

I have trouble, personally, with the acceptance that this is what the country wanted. But what you said is true. My blame goes only partially to the population, though, in letting themselves be duped. In letting themselves believe that anyone who is a white male is not as, or more capable to hold positions of power.

The rest of the blame goes to those in current positions of power who have spent trillions to coerce the public into believing this messaging.
