If you live near wind turbines etc, you should be able to directly benefit from cheaper tariffs and, on a broader scale, Scotland should be able to attract energy intensive industries to move closer to our supplies.

ScotGov's statement on Green Hydrogen is framed as "heating up to 1,600 homes". None of it will go into heating homes. Especially not now that the Fife pilot project is cancelled. Which is a good thing given that heating homes is just about the worst use for hydrogen.
And yes, this is another one of their headline-grab single-use pots of cash that they substitute for actual strategic direction.
Realise that this isn't a failure of policy or something "going wrong" in the immigration system. In 2019 an envoy from the UN determined that this result was intentional and that the UK enacted "systematic immiseration" and "destitution by design" on folk like this.
