The accounts I find most trustworthy seem to have cartoon or abstracted faces.
(Part of why I changed to that)

Every time I see somebody talk about "For All Mankind" (usually the Apple TV streaming show), I think of this documentary, which I love:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097372/
No shade on the TV show (I haven't seen it), except I wish they'd come up with a different name (also not a fan of Apple or streaming, but that's a whole other issue).
Probably how the "Avengers" TV series fans felt about Marvel.
I believe that as a matter of history, there WERE stories about audiences being shocked and frightened by the realism, as if a real train were heading right for them.
But I have my doubts about the accuracy of these reports. There might've been just a smidge of sensational storytelling going on.
To me it's a critical point that CWs don't actually censor or suppress anything. You just click the button to open it up.
But they do give you a moment to brace yourself (or decide you don't want to deal with that now).
I think my biggest complaint is that I can't add a CW to a boosted post. My instance requires CWs on politics, so I have a lot of "uspol" CW posts (especially lately).
But if I'm boosting other political content, I have to decide whether to boost as-is or post new.
I miss formal query languages, TBH.
Sometimes I want to do the query that returns no result: i.e. "this information does not exist in the database."
Because sometimes that's what I wanted to know.
But modern search engines prioritize returning a result over returning the right answer.
