@Techaltar I always assumed they were.
Now there is undeniable proof.

@SrRochardBunson There's a reason I chose an instance that isn't federated with mastodon.world
I do my best to avoid sitting at the table with Nazis. If they ever announce they're Nazis and I'm sitting across the table from them, not anymore I'm not.
I've listened to earnest sounding Nazis before, and the leopards ate my face.
Never again.
@wdlindsy They're certainly already making their attempts.
But the dangerous and worrying moves would be toward the fundamentals of the free internet itself.
Buying twitter is a show of power by trying to take over a pre-established social media. But this will fail. As advertisers flee and no decent person will want to remain on a dead and broken platform. They will realize this is not the way.
If they cannot control what you say, they will control where you can say it.
@wdlindsy But beware, there will come a time that once they realize this, they will try to usurp that power from the people and regulate it to hell.
Domain Names will become expensive and/or require licenses to purchase.
Already in-place terms that block users from hosting on non-enterprise Internet Services will be enforced harshly.
The rich will use their power to try to silence the working class. Be mindful of this, they will try to do this. They did this with Television and Radio.
@wdlindsy It has come to pass.
What I predicted many years ago and was scoffed at and scolded for. A statement that was obvious to me, but uncomfortable to many.
The internet will be the death of Traditional Television. People no longer sit at home and channel surf. No one wants to pay $400 a month to watch TV.
People use the internet. It's more stimulating, more interactive. And it has many more opportunities.
@TechConnectify Definitely watching this later.
@chris They unironically sent their thoughts & prayers.
I can see how the republicans relate.
@TechConnectify Fair enough.
This place is basically Fediverse Twitter.
Twitter has always had a similar issue with it being a mental health drain.
I find myself in that same position quite often. The best thing to do is take a break for however long you find necessary.
And if you don't come back, that's more than okay.
I, however, am terminally online. (And my mental health strangles me for it every day. )
@TechConnectify I really love your content. Has a kind of 80s/90s morning show recorded on a vhs vibe.
