• if embedded documents in my collection persons is more efficient than saving them in the same collection with a different key.
• if keeping one collection for subscribtions, one for events and one for persons is better than one unique collection.

I think about it and read further more.

Do you think without redis experimentation, nodebb could have been designed with several collections ? One collection for categories, one for users, one for groups ....

Hi all,
we developped for a company a webApplication using a MongoDB database; We created 10 collections : persons (80000) , formations, performances (using the id of a person : 80000/year)... A lot of relation between the collections.

Since we work with NodeBB for an other company : I am wondering why nodeBB use a only one collection and if i should transform my models of data in only one collections as nodeBB.
Anybody transform its models of data

In nodebb/src/database/mongo : I do not have the function helpers.displayUserSearch

Is it on this file, that I should add the function ? And have you a link of the content of the function ?

On ACP Dashboard, I am running NodeBB v0.7.0.
The stable v0.7.1 is not availble yet ? isnt'it ?

We tried two things, but the default undefined stays : no thing change

• Change the language in En-US
• Modify the key in the users.json : "Réputés" as "Reputes" with no acute accent
  the key is here welll written as search

Hi Baris, you have right I can access with the nav bar : yourforum.com/users/search.
But undefined stays after the button Most Reputation.

We just installed the forum, the nodebb-theme-lavender installed is 1.0.45. I know the latest is 1.0.46.
Do you think it could be resolved between these two versions ?
When we upgrade : do we lost our parameters ?

Hi,
1 - When we registered on a android phone and we forgot to write the password : there the red error message (the password is too short). But after that : it is impossible to write any password instead. The user had to subscribe on a pc to the platform or to delete all the history of his smartphone.

2 - On my windowsphone, I connected as an other user to post a message . After that there is not the disconnect button in the menu. I was due to delete all the history of my smartphone to be abble to connect with my own account. Is it a bug or is it volonteer ?

Hi all,
I am running NodeBB v0.7.0. I tried several times to add a poll, but each time it blocks the whole screen. After that I have to go in the database to delete all the lines which concern that poll. What am I doing wrong ?

1 - Is there a documentation on the different PRIVILEGES / ACCESS CONTROL (not in the general doc) ?

2 - Moderation : I would like to moderate the posts of the users; I understood that if a user has a moderate privilege : he will receive each day the new posts of the category on his email and he will be abble to delet it . is it true ?
What i want to do is :
1/ When a user send an new post --> I would like to read the message before being readable on the forum. Is it possible ?
2/ We need to detect any swearwords on the posts : how can I achieve this ?
