@vwbusguy I mean, doing the update to the flatpak isn't that hard, in all your voluminous spare time...

My favorite #gif browser for #Linux is apparently orphaned and forever stuck on a flatpak runtime from 3 years ago, which flatpak reminds me about with ever single update. -
Some random mom at school drop off, to her kids: "We've got to figure out a better way to do this. Why is it so hard to get you all out the door?"@vwbusguy Yeah, I guess it comes down to humans being crap at risk-assessment, the entire idea of "stranger abduction" or "stranger danger" isn't more prevalent any more now than it was when I was a kid, according to statistics, but the media do love to bang on that drum.

Why is it so hard to get you all out the door?"@vwbusguy I mean, I come from "Super Small Town" and I walked/rode bike/drove myself to school, pretty much from first grade->graduation, so it's not exactly apples-to-apples, but that was true of all the "in-town" kids, all the kids that lived outside of town, rode the bus, until they were able to drive themselves.
I doubt I saw more than a couple of parents picking up/dropping off their kids, the entire time I was in school.
Dunno, still doesn't make sense to me.

It's such a massive clusterfuck, and makes no sense, when I watch busses going to those same schools, every morning, and every afternoon.

I'm from the Midwest but living on the west coast, so my dress-up nicely for a serious event means wearing my newest pair of Carhartt jeans*.@vwbusguy Same thing here, I've got a couple suits in the closet, but I haven't broken one out in probably a decade, for anything other than a wedding or funeral.
Get funny looks, in a suit around here, unless you *happen* to be in a lawyers office, or bank, or some such.
