Just taking my daily look at http://hackerne.ws and saw that NodeBB is right at the very top!
Might be worth you guys taking a look at some of the C&C there.
Was this a sneaky publicity stunt?

Or you could just forget about those shitty Apple products!
Hi guys,
Here is a theme I have been working on for NodeBB. It's based on the Vanilla theme. I found the colour scheme at https://kuler.adobe.com/ which has some very nice colour schemes. It's worth checking out.
Screenshots of the theme:
This is a work in progress so expect some bugs and some ugliness until I can sort them out. The admin panel need work but I'm hoping to sort that out soon.
This is my first time doing anything like this so be kind

Here is my first plugin for NodeBB!
Over at BitBangers we have a thread for "Must Watch Films" where we post IMDB links to films and a little bit on what we thought about it.
This got me thinking about a plugin that would embed the IMDB information into the page when a link gets posted. After a chat with @Almost and @Schamper I decided that a popover, similar to the cards plugin, would be a better way of doing things.
This plugin relies on the API being available. When testing it i found that the api would drop offline for a minute or so and the popovers would not show, I cannot control this.
Currently the popover will show the Title of the film, Rating, Genre and a short plot. I was hoping to add the film posters to the popover too but IMDB does not allow hotlinking to their images so this feature is unavailable at this time. The OMDB API that I am using does have a poster API but that is currently donators/beta testers only.
If your site is using HTTPS this plugin wont work either as the content is served from OMDB API over HTTP, until the OMDB API enables SSL this plugin will not work correctly on your site.
Test it out and let me know of any bugs!
I'm not falling for this trap, i just know my picture will end up as someones fap material.
The current most stable version we have installed is 0.2.2 but this is only really stable on 0.6 version of NodeBB.
I have show @Schamper your interest in this plugin being updated but he is currently quite busy.
I've used ./nodebb start ever since it was introduced. We have no issues with it.
Take a look here: http://www.emoji-cheat-sheet.com/
You will need to start typing out some of the names first before you will see what you want.
I thought i was your gf
I feel bad that my forum isn't popular enough to be targeted by spam bots
Great work guys, thanks for the mention!
@psychobunny Would I need to sign this if i have submitted code which is probably not in use any more?
lmao @Schamper being the reason why you are giving up on forum software.
I think people need to understand that he has done those plugins as side projects that are open source. He has no reason to even update these other than his own motivation.
Yes it would be nice for them to work on the latest version but if you are that desperate for a plug then use the nodebb version that the plugin supports.
BitBangers is still running nodebb v0.6 as we rely heavily on the shoutbox which is only really compatible up to v0.6.
I was thinking of an auto-tweet plugin that would tweet newly created topics and use the tags of the topic for hashtags.
@julian Simon Pegg
@psychobunny yeah i'm on there https://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/commits?author=JoshRickers
I'll sign.
Fly me and @Schamper out and we'll hold a massive "We NodeBB" sign.
