Big news today, y’all: 11ty is joining Font Awesome@eleventy I’d love to read a longer follow up to your post https://www.zachleat.com/web/independent-sustainable-11ty/ and where this leaves that effort.
Big congratulations on joining Font Awesome! Funding and open source is a tough thing and it’s really great to have the support of someone like them.

Imagine being the NYTimes, looking at every measure & poll which said that 93% of people said that Harris won the debate, & then choosing to publish this headline.@damon @greendesignek The carousel that seemed to equate Trumps lies to a small collection of her “misleading” statements really bothered me today.

It would be nice if there were a web standard for server side rendering of markup.@Schepp I love it but no, not really. I want to see this standardized not post-processed. I feel like there might be advantages to a standardized server side language around API calls, database integration, and seamless handoff enabling server side hydration to client side updates.
Like how CSS vars can do more than Sass or PostCSS vars.

Something that maybe works with web components and is more integrated than 3rd party libraries. Something that is efficient and optimized.
Make the whole stack simple again.

In the year of our lord 2024 it is so very dumb that there's separate font licenses/pricing for web and desktop.@fonts the @futurefonts and @djrrb font of the month licenses are great for this.
