I’m not saying it’s perfect (and I’m also on Bluesky now like almost everyone else I know) but I find the ‘choosing an instance is a barrier to Mastodon adoption’ argument bizarre given everyone who has a personal email account has had to make the exac...@mavit go with a big generic one (e.g. mastodon.social) or, if you want to identify as part of a community, search for the most appropriate and (if you care to) read over their moderation policies that are publicly visible. Done.

If you’re not fussy, use one of the big generic instances, otherwise find one in your industry/hobby area, and (if you care to) have a quick read their policies”… anyone who cares for the latter would similarly need to read up on BSky/Threads/X’s policies anyway.

Here's a brief overview of some new things coming to HTML form controls this month@simevidas @knowler @seaotta less of an ‘uncanny valley’ where the page is visible but uninteractive.
I use <dialog> prolifically and already building with Invoker Commands (with the polyfill) in anticipation of support landing.
