I've installed NodeBB on my DO VPS recently.

The guide http://burnaftercompiling.com/nodebb/setting-up-a-nodebb-forum-for-dummies/ was enough to get me through and have it working.

At what part are you stuck at?

@pitaj Thanks! Also do you have any screenshots of what it should look like when it auto posts to the category you want? Mine looks like below. Also note that I'm a total noob to NodeBB and I have no idea what I'm doing :D! So I apologize in advanced for asking questions that may seem otherwise obvious.

Mine gets cut off for some reason.
Also, is it supposed to auto post to Announcements?

I'm pretty new to NodeBB and to these forums so I'm sorry if this is not helpful.

I was having a similar issue and was unable to login using admin username/password. I think there was an issue with persisting to redis. Then found out redis was out of date.

If your redis version is below 2.8, try updating it.
