@skinnylatte Oh oh! If you like French pastries go to Parker-Lusseau at 539 Hartnell St. (I know you won’t want them for breakfast but maybe in the evening.) They are VERY good (not just “good for Monterey” good…you’ll learn that there is a difference). Also, go to Pizza My Heart at Del Monte Plaza. One of the only truly great pizza places on the West Coast.

If you are looking for a holiday gift for a young person, might I suggest adopting a kākāpō? They will get fun updates and you will help this unique, enormous parrot survive!

Your friendly neighborhood poll worker would like to remind you: It's against the law in most states to wear items that promote a candidate into a polling place. Many states have expanded this to coded language such as "Let's Go Brandon" gear, "Childless cat lady" clothes, etc.

@skinnylatte It's interesting because even in Australia "western breakfast foods" have a significant savoury side. (Beans and toast, eggs in various forms.) And in Germany there is a lot of bread and sliced meat. You're right, though; lots of Europe and North America really leans sweet.
