Some of our browser competitors are all in on Crypto. We are not.@jon Put the call out for how much support you need. In this day of enshittification of the internet at large, companies who stick their necks out to do right by their users will probably be embraced by their community. Note the offers to donate more by @breadcat and @MarcusAnthonyCyganiak I'll add my own two cents if those would help.

So now that Chrome (Google) has redefined the web to serve ads instead of content and Mozilla happily follows suit, because, well, Google pays most of their bills, the W3C shrugging — what’s the next big thing?@jwildeboer If you are a website owner, you can work to help redefine the standards by just not adding nonsense to your website. What's wrong with going back to "Web 1.x" content? At least it was readable. Just like how every site didn't need Macromedia Flash content back when, not every site nowadays requires a heap of ads, trackers, and AI-generated nonsense.
