I started #ClimateDiary in Feb 2023 and back then we had a lot of discussion of #phenology and uncertainty about detecting signs of climate change around us (as well as posting news from “elsewhere”, of course). But now we are in the absolute full swing of things - like, we are all living in it all the time, and it is completely normal and we all know it. Just thinking about how this shift happened so incredibly quickly, in less than two years.

Also thinking of DeSantis recent bill scrapping climate change from Florida laws; and of #project2025, which would scrap organisations like the EPA and NOAA that provide warnings, information and supoort and save countless lives.

#ClimateDiary My daughter drew this hour glass and stuck it on her window a few years ago, at the height of my and her climate activism, with @parents4future and all.#ClimateDiary 2/2 I have been struggling in recent months with feeling really hope- and helpless regarding climate action (and much else). But now feel that there is also strength in this realisation, so much still that we can do for each other and the world even when the bigger picture is incredibly bleak. Then yesterday listened to @DarkOptimism talking about #DarkOptimism - and this term captures it perfectly. Thank you, Shaun!
