@julian Thank you, mailgun from npm solved the problem.

I have upgraded to the latest nodebb master brunch and I have also updated the mailgun plugin, but mail notifications stopped working. Test email does not work too. Before upgrade it worked fine.

Any ideas?

Blogs and forum communities are often connected. I think it would be nice to have a WordPress plugin which shows last activity of the forum in the side bar of the blog.

@tfraley @yariplus In my case I have a new and not very active forum, so I don't visit it daily. If a spammer registers and posts something a notification would be fine.

I want to get email notification if a new user registers and if a new post is published.

Some plugin or setting for this?

All larger forums and blogs use Adsense or ads in general. If you have some heavy used website, which generates user experience from content, then you have to invest much time to this website. This is the time which you could invest in your job or family, so for me it is OK to monetize.

Not in every case. I have an overpowered server with a SSD and my visitors are from smaller country, which keeps the user-server distance small. I also have more control over the images, but imgur is really good and I would take if I hadn't such a server.

Would be great if images went through compressor.io before being uploaded to imgur.

@henrywright How many images do you host? 20 GB would be enough for some years for a small forum.

@henrywright that is why I host images on my server. The other reason is that I can put the images through some software to make them smaller in kilobytes.

That solved the problem and it should be mentioned somewhere on the plugin page or on the documentation pages.

Images with German Ä or Ü or Ö in the file name can not be uploaded.

I see only "loading 100%"

After changing the name uploading works.
