I am once again thinking about the weirdo trying to get all inclusive language removed from the (volunteer-led, open-source) French translation of Bluesky. He keeps saying that removing gender-neutral language somehow makes it "more welcoming." I shouldn't waste brain cells on this.

It would be so much easier if the maintainers were empowered to say "ok, but, we don't want to welcome you, specifically, because you suck" and just close the PR.

Them: you need to make this page load faster. We won't allow any frames to load that take over 2s to load.

Me: hmm, 2s is pretty bad. *checks telemetry* weird, our metrics say we're responding in <1ms.

Them: Oh, well it takes us 4s to send you the request and we count the complete lifecycle, including the time it takes us to queue the request, so the total is 4s. Which is too long.

Me: ???

Them: you have to make it faster.
