OK this is an interesting one. My MiniDisc recorder came with 3 MiniDiscs included. 1 was blank, 1 had a random recorded interview on it from the previous owner, and 1 had an album from The Cure on it. The album disc was apparently recorded using NetMD direct digital recording from a computer and so I can't erase it on my MiniDisc recorder which doesn't have NetMD support and I just keep getting a TrProtected error. (The physical copy-protect toggle doesn't help). So I'm wondering 1. Does anyone want this Cure album on MiniDisc (not sure which one it is and I don't really like The Cure that much)? or 2. Does anyone have a NetMD recorder who can erase this disc for me? THANKS!@!!

Couldn't really find any other options, so I figured why not try self-hosting a Pixelfed instance? The installation seems a little involved, but let's try it. First step, get PHP-FPM going on NGINX https://pixel.byrd.ws/info.php

I think I wanna try to get off coffee again sometime soon.I think I wanna try to get off coffee again sometime soon. It's at that point where I'm just drinking it to get myself back up to a normal level of awake. Anyone got any tips on ditching it, slowly, cold turkey, something else?

Pop any very frequent posters/boosters in a list with "Hide these posts from home" toggled. Pretty much the same as muting them but then you can check that list from time to time if you want.

Hmm just had an actual legit email that someone logged into my MyGov account with email and password.@ash Strange! I kinda like the idea of different emails for difference services, but I have so many that I will definitely get mixed up, and then I'll get locked out of my password manager or something and then I'll just be out on the street with no internet services at all then I'll run into the wilderness and live happily ever after

Doesn't seem like they got past the 2-factor though, but still. It was an old-ish password that has maybe been leaked by whichever one of the hundreds of companies have been hacked and had my details. Anyway. Password changed now and Passkey added for an extra step. Interesting that MyGov is now recommending disabling password login completely and using only Passkeys.
