Thanks for the tip. It seems to have converted the config to a different format (ie: instead of base_url it now uses url) and it's working. Seems odd that everything would fail all of a sudden without any changes.
Is there some kind of automatic update in v0.5 that is outside of normal nodebb operation?
Was running v0.5 without any problems for months and when I went to check today, everything stopped working so I thought I needed to upgrade to v0.6
Here is what I did:
$ git fetch
$ git checkout v0.6.x
$ git merge origin/v0.6.x
$ git pull
$ ./nodebb upgrade
$ ./nodebb dev
Getting the error:
url.js:107 throw new TypeError("Parameter 'url' must be a string, not " + typeof url)
This would be the first real disappointment of nodebb for me since everything was running smoothly and it simply stopped.
What is the error referring to and how can I fix this?
Might sneak in some time to play.

I can understand that for new users but why would it prompt me after being on here for couple of months.
Is nodebb software itself designed to do that after a set period?
When I signed in here (nodebb forum) the system didn't recognize me and it prompted me to send confirmation email to activate. What happened?
Please explain.

Topic tool to select multiple posts
for example:
click on topic tools and then click on select all deleted post
then you can also purge all of them
or a way to purge all deleted posts
Right now you have to click on each one.

Where is the setting to control last edited? Was looking but couldn't find it.
Looking to set timer further out, option to disable for certain group or disable altogether. Thought I saw it before or maybe it was discourse.

@a_5mith My mistake since I assumed post without any replies get deleted the same way. Back to learning more nodebb.
Photo #1 shows the single topic (no replies) getting deleted. Going back to the topic listings (photo #2) shows still active.
Hope that explains it better. Maybe I'm not understanding how it should work.
If I delete topic from main list, it will be greyed out and have lock icon.
If I delete topic itself (single view), it will not show greyed out. No lock icon either.
Odd behavior. Why are they different?

Would be glad to once I get to that level. I see routes pointing to /forum so any other plugin you recommend I look at to compare.
Had issue with my install and redis flush definitely helped (warning: I did the flushall since I didn't have anything else using it). This allowed me to go back and do the setup again which then generated the admin user to login and configure the settings.
