@cryptix all the actions you can do as an account on a server are tied to the types and ways the server you have an account on have developed. So for instance pixelfed has "stories" that they defined in their own namespace. So theoretically they could allow a mastodon account to use their front end but then mastodons backend wouldn't know what to do with all the features they developed

@twilliability created #RSSParrot because he wanted to follow RSS feeds in Mastodon & it was a good excuse to write his own ActivityPub server in Go. He'll talk about the technology, his fears & desires he's encountered in the process.
