@arqeria @kibcol1049 I suspect the sound quality is down to the fact that radio was AM back then, and mono. We've come a long way since those days - FM, stereo, digital etc - sound quality wise. (Until you hear Rap music played very loudly, from a car, on nasty quality speakers of course! )
I'm not a huge fan of Hancock, but he does have his moments.
What spoils a lot of US comedy for us Brits, is canned laughter. If a laughter track is needed, then it wasn't funny!
