Oh, most who had Instagram accounts tried Threads because it was Easy and they were spoon fed an account. The problem with Threads is that they disallow most political posting. It's a sewer.

Bluesky handed them the exact twitter front end via Jack and a way to port over their Twitter followers, again all possible because of Jack. Mastodon had a way to port your followers over until Elon decided to charge for the API for all...except Jack.

It's not a coincidence that those who clung to twitter this long have en masse moved to Bluesky.
