Another day, another #3Dprint designed in #SolveSpace. This time it's a strain relief and dirt protection housing for a USB extender coupling.

BTW the USB cable on the left with the transparent plug costs 200€ (!). Manufacturers of measurement equipment for #meteorology sure know how to make money...

@vitriolix Nope, ephemeral domains and I don't know if it even works for ssh.

It's a pity that https://serveo.net seems to be down (for good?). #serveo was a nice, accountless and free ssh tunneling service, where you could just create reverse ssh tunnels to e.g. reach devices deep in a network that are otherwise unreachable.

Do you know of any other such services? Hard to beat that featureset though...

A #btrfs filesystem can have subvolumes, which can be mounted individually, like internal partitions. But one can also make subvolumes in a live mounted filesystem, which behave exactly like folders. Only subvolumes can be snapshotted - not subdirectories. Basically, a snapshot is just a instant copy of a directory. And if you snapshot to <subvoldir>/.snapshots, you will uselessly accumulate the .snapshots dir. But if you mounted <subvoldir> e.g. at /var, you can't snapshot to /.snapshots.

It's a bit annoying that #btrfs can't snapshot to a location that's in fact on the same disk and filesystem, but has been mounted separately as a subvolume.

Makes me question my choice of making and mounting subvolumes for /nix and /home and /var...

Surely, there is a standalone #FOSS tool for comparing images side-by-side/swiping/blending like the cool #git forges can do?
