What i have so far is it's wrong because it affects other people's abilities to meet their needs.
There's also the fact that, in a more collective society, it would damage the sustainable allocation of shared resources. But that's not exactly a child-level explanation.
I'm specifically thinking about the 9-12 age area if anyone has ideas.
